The European Circular Economy Stakeholder Platform frequently echoes different good practices in the area of the circular economy carried out by companies from European Union countries. Its purpose is to exchange, interact and enable the quick development of the circular economy.

In EDUCA Business and Professional Association we also enjoy providing our associated companies with some good practices in the circular economy. Therefore, we would like to highlight the Swedish footwear company Kavat and its activity.

In 2008, Kavat obtained the EU eco-label, which was established in 1992 and is recognized worldwide: it’s a label of environmental excellence that is given to services and products that comply with high environmental standards throughout their whole lifespan.

Their quality and long-lasting shoes are produced mainly in Europe using sustainable materials through eco-friendly manufacturing processes since many substances such as chromium and dyes are forbidden. Besides, Kavat also provides an ecological wax for shoe maintenance made up of calendula oil and some plant extracts.
